Joe Plant

Joseph Plant is an Indigenous man, entrepreneur, innovator, creator, traveler and student. He is currently at the helm of Generation Indigenous; works at the Trico Changemakers Studio; at the Iniskim centre as a mentor to new Indigenous students; on the board for the national non-profit Canadian Roots Exchange; and a student researcher for the Institute for Community Prosperity. Joe, his team, and partners at GENi see the opportunity for reconciliation between Indigenous and Non-Indigenous communities and together they seek to act on bolstering the unity and partnership between the various communities. They accomplish their goal of bridging the gap between these vast communities through their four main departments: cultural festivals, educational initiatives, local collaborations, and gardening projects. Over the last 2 years, Joe has obtained grants for the organization, has branded and incorporated it, built a diverse team, dedicated partners, and over a year of events that incorporated a strong storytelling element. Something that comes naturally to him and his community. All that coupled with Joe’s strong social media savvy, GENi is sure to have a far-reaching impact!

Ryan McCaffrey

Ryan worked on both the agency and consulting side of research & marketing, with start-ups to multi-national commodity organizations before starting, mccaffreycom, and has since worked with clients such as Decidedly Jazz Danceworks, Calgary Homeless Foundation, Calgary Opera, Cidex, Dave Kelly Live, e=mc2 Events, Fort Calgary, PHI Medical Esthetics, and The City of Calgary on market research, and digital strategy and execution. Ryan is also the Director of Digital Marketing for Canada's largest luxury reseller, the upside, ( His passions are education & strategy; keeping up-to-date with all available research & marketing tools & trends, to inform the most effective strategies. Ryan has Bachelor of Communications, and also keeps his Google Partner Certification & Facebook Business Status which allow him to keep ahead of the curve, specifically in an ever-changing digital space.
