Interested in meditation but not sure where to start? Mind too busy to even believe you could! Quieting
the mind is a challenge for many and the source of stress and insomnia.
Join Yoga instructor Lindsay Brandon to learn energy work (pranayama) and different types of meditation to encourage your own personal practice.
Open your mind to what meditation looks like. Try mudras, mantra, movement, focus and embodiment
practice to draw your attention inwards. The mind is a tool and a gift to us if we do not allow it to rule us or identify with it. Making the distinction between our thoughts and the witness of our thoughts allows us to disassociate from the thought patterns themselves and utilize them as a means of self study.
The journey of meditation practise enables us to understand neurological patterns we currently have
and brings awareness to current perceptions regarding our situations in life and relationships. With more self awareness we can dig deeper into the stories we have about ourselves and change the story if need be.
Without Svadyaya (self study) we can live our lives believing our story is our reality. We feel like life is
happening to us, not through us. These practises of dharana (concentration) dhyana (meditation)
pranayama (breath/energy work) and pratyahara (drawing attention inwards) are a means of attaining
To truly know thyself leads to living a more fulfilling and purposeful life. It enables us to perceive from a higher perspective unclouded by the maya (illusion) of the mind. Join Lindsay in this registered program to witness the change that occurs in your daily life as you bring awareness into your current mental state and work towards self realization and responsibility.
