Ice Diving - February: The Course, The Dives, The Brainfreeze
Want to learn how to Ice Dive? Yeah, we know you do! It's one of the most fascinating types of diving out there! With one of the most comprehensive recreational ice diving courses around, we'll teach you all about safety, procedures, and techniques related to ice diving - and you'll learn it all from divers experienced in ice and overhead environments!
-Minimum Advanced Open Water certified
-Minimum 18 years old
-Cold water experience
-Lots of drysuit dives
-A certain sense of craziness
Learn how to work as a team - including acting as surface support, line tender, and safety diver. Learn more than you cared to know about ice, how to get a site ready, and how to deal with emergency procedures related to colder diving. And, of course, put it all into practice, and go for some dives under the ice!
Don't worry, we'll supply the hot chocolate and a BBQ lunch both days on the ice! There's nothing more spectacular than that!! Our instructors on this course regularly dive in overhead environments, so you'll likely learn a little bit more than you thought you would on how to really plan for a dive under ice!
