- **Event Description**: A warm journey of yoga, sound healing, and meditation to help you pause, breathe, and deeply reconnect with the living world around you.About this EventFrom Stardust to Soil: Exploring Nature as Our AncestorThere are parts of us that are older than the Earth itself. The minerals in our bones, the iron in our blood, the oxygen moving through our lungs — the elements that make up our bodies have a history that reaches back to ancient stars. Over billions of years, that same matter became stone and soil, oceans and forests, and eventually, us.We are not simply surrounded by nature. We are part of it.Holly and Emily invite you to: From Stardust to Soil, an exploration of that relationship through yoga movement, meditation, sound healing, poetry and reflection.Together, we’ll consider what changes when we begin to experience the natural world not as something separate from ourselves, but as our ancestor — something we have emerged from, something that continues to sustain us, and something we are still in relationship with.Through movement and stillness, we’ll explore the body as part of this larger story. Through breath, we’ll reflect on the quiet reciprocity that exists between ourselves and the living world. Through meditation, sound and readings inspired by nature, we’ll create space to listen more closely and perhaps notice the ordinary things around us with a little more reverence.A stone. A pinecone. A feather. A breath. The ground beneath us: small reminders of a relationship that has always been there. As part of the experience, you’ll also create your own aromatherapy jar using natural elements from our meditation. You’ll build something personal to take home — a small, tangible reminder of your connection to the natural world. Open it whenever you need a moment to pause, breathe, and remember where you come from.No previous yoga or meditation experience is necessary.

Her teaching is grounded in personal practice and continued study, and has been shaped by yoga philosophy, pranayama, meditation, qigong, tai chi and Zen.For Emily, yoga is a practice of paying attention — an opportunity to slow down, become curious, and better understand ourselves and our relationship with the world around us. Her classes are rooted in tradition while remaining accessible and relevant to everyday life, meeting students where they are while leaving room for exploration and challenge.A former dancer, Emily has spent much of her life exploring movement and the body. She also has a background in physics, including the study of the early formation of our solar system. Her interests in nature, science, movement and philosophy continue to influence both her practice and teaching. To learn more about Emily and her offerings, visit www.TwoRiversYogaAndBreathwork.ca, or on instagram @tworiversyogaandbreathworkHollyis a yoga teacher, Reiki Master, sound practitioner, and somatic integration healing practitioner whose work is rooted in movement, breath, sound, ritual, and inner exploration. Her approach is informed by specialized training in somatic integration healing and polyvagal theory, along with a background in counselling, mental health, and human rights. She is also trained in aromatherapy.Bringing these different areas of experience together, Holly creates spaces that invite people to slow down, become more present in their bodies, and reconnect with themselves in a way that feels supportive, curious, and deeply human. Her work is less about striving for a particular outcome and more about learning to listen—to sensation, breath, the nervous system, and the wisdom of the body. Through yoga, somatic practices, breathwork, Reiki, sound, and other embodied practices, she offers experiences that encourage deeper connection, awareness, and a sense of coming home to oneself. At the heart of her work is a simple belief: the body carries its own wisdom. Sometimes, we simply need the space, safety, and stillness to hear it.To learn more about Holly and her offerings, visit www.riversoma.ca, or on instagram @riversomayyc"
