Open House Weekend at River Bend Nature Center
No registration required

River Bend Nature Center welcomes the support of Foxconn which allows the nature center to offer the community free access to a weekend of outdoor experiences for the third consecutive year. The community is invited to enjoy a sampling of various nature center activities on August 15th and 16th. Visitors can enjoy a nature hike guided by a naturalist, a chance to try out archery, dipping a beeswax candle, and/or a kayak or canoe paddle on the Root River. The self guided hiking trails, story trail, natural playscape and discovery trail are also available.

The activities are at no cost, thanks to a sponsorship by Foxconn.
Canoe/kayak on the Root River (9am – 5pm)  
Guided Nature Hikes (9am – 2pm)
Guided Archery Shoots (9am – 2pm)   
Beeswax Candle Dipping (9am - 2pm)

*Participants under 16 years old must be accompanied by an adult for the canoe and kayak experience.
* Participants in archery must be at least 7 years old.
