The Milwaukee Area Dachshund Lovers group (MADL) and the MidWest Dachshund Rescue organization (MWDR) have teamed up for a 3rd year to bring you an exciting afternoon of INDOOR wiener dog races at the Milaeger's Pop-up Biergarten Event.

Pre-Registration for Dachshund Races held on Saturday, February 28, 2026. (Races start approx. 1:00pm)
• Must Check-in at the Pre-Reg Table day of Race between 11:30a - 12:45pm.

• This is a Breed specific race for Dachshunds ONLY. No TALL/LONG Legged dogs allowed.
• There will be prizes awarded in each age category; Young, Adult, and Senior &/or Handicapped.
RULES of the Dash:
1) Each dog is permitted to have one handler at the start line and one handler at the finish line.
2) Dogs must start the dash with all paws on the ground, behind the start line. When the dash begins, the dog is released by the handler, not tossed, or thrown.
3) Handlers at the finish line must remain behind the finish line and are not allowed to reach across the finish line. They must wait for all paws of their dog to cross the finish line.
4) If a handler reaches across the line, their dog will be disqualified.
5) All judges’ decisions are final.
Restrictions:
This is a breed specific race for Dachshunds only. No tall, long-legged dogs allowed. Only Registered Dogs allowed at Milaeger's.
