This series of 7 classes running every Monday and Wednesday From May 8th is designed to suit and compliment your fast and intended for those who know the basics of yoga or have a solid awareness of their body. It is not possible to attend individual or select sessions.
I believe in a balanced and holistic approach meaning each 90 minute session will involve work on the physical, energetic and emotional bodies as well as meditative practices to help ease and de-clutter the mind. The classes will be very mindful and involve some practices to help support the fasting process (i.e. Kriyas and twists to help clear toxins from the digestive system and meditations to help us manage cravings & emotions).
On a physical level, we'll do all the usual (i.e. work on strength, flexibility, balance, coordination & movement) and also look to release some of that deep-seated tension in the muscles and joints. In addition to the physical practices, we'll work with the breath (Pranayama) and meditation to help you get perspective on the more subtle workings of the body & mind.
Classes will end approximately 1h before Maghreb when the roads are empty.
