Professional Certificate in Health and Medical Research

This program consists of 3 parts:
Part (1): Basics of Health and Medical Research (9 training days )
• Research proposal writing (6 days)
• Scientific writing ( 3 days )
Part (2): Medical Research workshops ( 6 training days)
• Data management and Statistics (SPSS) ( 4 days )
• Systematic review and Meta-analysis ( 2 days )
Part (3): Advanced Medical Research (5 training days )
• Clinical Trials ( 2 days )
• Health policy and Systems Research ( 2 days )
• Qualitative research ( 1 days )

Rules: القواعد
• The Professional certificate will be offered exclusively to who complete the three parts of the program.
تمنح الشهادة المهنية حصريا لمن يستكمل البرنامج (100 ساعة)
• In Part (1) Attendees could choose either of the two topics.
فى الجزء الأول يمكن اختيار موضوع واحد ويحصل المتدرب علي شهادة لكل موضوع
• In Part (2 and 3) A certificate of attendance will be offered on completion of each part
في الجزء الثاني والثالث يحصل المشارك على شهادة حضور بعد نهاية كل جزء
• A pre-requisite to attend workshops is the attendance of the basic course or have previous experience in proposal writing
• لحضور ورشة العمل الخاصة بالتعامل مع البيانات يجب أن يكون المتقدم قد حصل على الجزء الأول من البرنامج أو يقدم مايثبت خبرة سابقة فى عمل أبحاث :

In part (1) Attendees will be able to:
• Recognize the meaning of research problem and formulate a research question.
• Value the research ethics
• Understand different types of research methods
• Develop a research proposal
• Master the skills of net search using clinical key and knowledge bank.
• Master the skills of scientific writing of an article

In part (2): Health and Medical Research workshop
• Practical workshop in the computer lab.
• Attendees will be able to:
• Master the skills of data entry and check for accuracy
• Perform data analysis and make relevant statistics and tests of significance.
• Apply essential skills in data presentation and comprehension.
• Perform systematic review and meta-analysis

In part (3) Attendees will be able to:
Identify special research methods:
• Clinical trials, health policy, and systems research as well as qualitative research.
• Recognize their applications, advantages, and limitations.
