In this Masterclass, you will delve deep into your creative process, while exploring the connection between voice and body. The fundamental elements of Roy Hart Theatre voice work will be covered including:
– Development of vocal potential.
– Theatrical and musical improvisations.
– Individual work.
– Breathing and physical exercises to prepare the body to sing.
– The art of listening to others and oneself.
– Seeking the dynamic sources of sounds.

Vocal explorations will occur through sound, song, words, sentences, rhythm and corporal movement.

The Roy Hart Method is renowned for its humanistic approach to voice work. It is based on more than 80 years of research, study and practice of the human voice and its application in life and art. The Roy Hart Method is currently taught in voice programs around the world. For more information, please visit

This workshop is open for professional and experienced singers, actors, presenters and performers.

STEP 3: Selected applicants can finalise their registration by paying the program fee by March 11. If we do not receive your payment by this date, your place will be given to someone else.

In 1978, Marianne Le Tron discovered the work and life of the Roy Hart Theatre Company in the Cevennes, France and became a member of the group. She performed in several productions, including the first version of Pagliacci (1981), Kaspar (1984) and Moby Dick (1988). She is a founding member of the Centre Artistique International Roy Hart. Marianne collaborates in a variety of professional and artistic areas (arts companies, enterprises, support for creative production, etc). From 2005 to 2008 she studied for a diploma in Carl Rogers’ Person Centred Therapy. In 2015, she began a year of Authentic Movement training with Mandoline Whittlesey. On the creative side, she’s currently a member of the cast of ‘Generation’, and also performs with a dancer and a musician in a piece based on the traditional Inuit tale “Skeleton Woman”. She sings in the vocal group “Tutti Quanti” and is one of the creators of the “Bal Détourné”. Marianne Le Tron speaks French and English.

Dawar is a cultural centre based in Downtown Cairo, Egypt. We utilise participatory theatre, therapeutic drama and other arts-based processes for healing, dialogue and social change. Our practitioners include artists, educators, psychotherapists and health workers from Egypt and abroad. Together we offer a range of initiatives that promote creativity, critical thinking, civic engagement and community cohesion. We facilitate group work and psychosocial interventions for individuals and communities impacted by war, displacement and other traumatic life events. Our training branch offers workshops, seminars and professional training programs in applied drama and community arts. We also hold regular cultural events including film screenings, art exhibitions, live music and theatre performances. In addition to this, we run a food and catering business dedicated to the social and economic empowerment of migrant, refugee and Egyptian women.
