We partnered up with GIZ Egypt to bring together ten startups for ten months, with the incredible help of five mentors, nine local and international experts, to support their business development and personal development as entrepreneurs. Throughout 2019, we held 13 workshops and 90 mentoring sessions, and hosted over 30 team members at Startup Haus Cairo. The startups grew their teams, developed their brands, advanced their business models, accelerated their growth and raised over 700k USD. Now, we’re here at the end of our journey with Founders’ Support 2019, but these ten founders are just starting! Join us on the 19th of December to witness the culmination of over 300+ hours of work as ten Egyptian startups take the stage to pitch cutting edge products across diverse sectors, including design, furniture, sports, training, recruitment, telecommunications, sustainable production, e-commerce and healthcare. The Demo Day will feature keynote talks by Founders' Support Mentors' Ms. Dina El Mofty and Dr. Khaled Ismail, along with a space for networking, creating connections and enjoying an assortment of snacks and drinks. WHAT IS FOUNDERS' SUPPORT? Founders' support is an #entrepreneurialsupport program by enpact to provide financial support and mentoring for entrepreneurs in their first year of business, allowing founders to dedicate their full time and energy on their business venture. The scholarships cover monthly living costs and provide access to knowledge, mentors, expert networks, day-to-day support, workspace and peers. Esorus: is a platform for interior sourcing to help architects, interior designers & contractors find qualified suppliers and manufacturers. Esorus works as a marketplace for furniture and helps build a bridge between suppliers and buyers, providing discounts for end-products, a diverse portfolio and the possibility to access different budgets within minutes. CUP: is the first startup in the MENA region that collects and adds value to the spent coffee grounds through cultivating edible species of mushroom via innovative and sustainable methods to add value to the organic waste. TechieMatter: is a platform that connects business owners with Top Rated tech recruiters to hire the best technically validated experts in different specializations. Additionally, it provides Technical Assessment Services to help Business Owners build technical architecture. Pas-sport: is an online service that helps athletes receive sports scholarships at universities in the U.S.A. It offers a two-sided platform, for athletes and college coaches. Athletes can learn about the college athletic programs, sign up, and upload their required information.
