On this journey, we’ll trace the “firsts” that built Downtown’s story—shaping the city we know today and the one to come. From the iconic building where Hona El Qahera was first broadcast, to the stages where Cairo’s divas created milestones; from the streets reflecting Talaat Harb’s vision and the founding of the National Bank of Egypt.

Here, past and future meet, offering a lens into how Downtown continues to reinvent itself through arts, architecture, and culture.

In collaboration with the AUC Tahrir Cultural Festival, Qahrawya invites you to rediscover Downtown Cairo—not just as a collection of streets and buildings, but as a living archive of a city constantly shaping its story.
