"Every individual is an artist, they just have to realise it"
Intensive art teaching course
From academia to postmodernism
Learning to see:
The whole purpose is to introduce the individual to the world of art by making them see the right perspective of the world, and liberating them from previous information and perceptions stored in their brains, which represents the greatest obstacle to creativity and innovation. The technique used in that phase is drawing with charcoal. (Still life, model)
Perception of color and technique:
this phase consists of the understanding the notion of color and drawing with a brush. The technique primarily depends on pastel colors followed by acrylic and then oil colors. The individual will first draw still life with colors, then go on to draw models to end with landscapes. During this phase, different types of techniques are studied during which the individual gets a feel of the art like roughening technique, artist knife technique beside the brush techniques. In addition, individuals will also get to learn about art effectiveness and expression.
Reviving the imagination:
This phase consists of training the individual on drawing freely and reviving the visual art imagination, based on the understanding of the visual art language. The technique in this phase starts with collages, then goes on to free designs of several art schools like surrealism and abstract art.
The last phase works on deepening the student’s personal artistic aptitudes and strengthening their personal imagination as well as developing their artistic skills after having gone through different techniques and art schools.
Every phase takes up an average of 12 classes. It is possible to shorten phases if the individual has previous experience, which greatly contributes in the speed of progress.
There is a special course for advanced applicants “Old Master Technique Course” during which they will work on recreating work of old professors using older techniques.
The purpose of this course is to transform the person’s imagination into creativity, which is why it doesn’t rely on copying from existing paintings, but instead drawing landscapes and from one’s imagination, except if the individual will recreate an old masterpiece.
Materials included in first level only, in the second and third levels students will be asked to bring their own materials.
