Intro to Cider Making

The Health Hub, in collaboration with the Foilmore Community Centre, is thrilled to bring you a unique hands-on event where you’ll learn how to make your own cider right at home.

Turns out, you don’t need fancy equipment or wild kitchen skills to start fermenting — who knew? Sweet as cider! 🍏

In this one-hour session, you’ll learn how to transform those bruised or “blemished” apples into a cozy, winter-warming beverage that’s as satisfying to make as it is to sip.

REGISTRATION IS ESSENTIAL — SPACES ARE LIMITED!

Alexis and Stephen are the creative duo behind a beautifully curated pottery studio and shop, crafting art-worthy pieces that can be found in restaurants across Ireland and beyond.

This husband-and-wife team also grow much of their own food and proudly call themselves amateur fermenters — which means they’ve had plenty of fun (and a few fizzing experiments!) perfecting their cider-making skills.

Founded in October 2023 by Elaine and Hayley, The Health Hub was created to bring holistic and alternative approaches to wellness to the people of South Kerry.

Their mission is simple: each month (or so), they invite a guest speaker to share insights and expertise on topics related to alternative health — all offered on a donation basis.
