March Mushroom Propagation Workshop

Join the Fringed Campion Chapter on Saturday, March 7, 2026 from 2 to 4 PM for a hands-on mushroom propagation workshop. This workshop will be hosted at Boy Scout Road Nursery in Byron, GA, GNPS's newest community-supported propagation project.

The goal of this workshop is to introduce attendees to the world of fungal propagation. Participants will learn how to inoculate sweet gum or oak logs using oyster and shiitake mushroom and learn how to care for them at home. The anticipated workshop length is 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on the number of participants..

The workshop will be led by Kenny Grieshop, chapter member and BSRN Assistant Manager.

Workshop will be outdoors, so dress according to whatever weather Georgia is serving up the afternoon of the workshop.

Space is limited to the first 20 to register and pay the course fee. Registration will remain open until workshop reaches capacity.

In the event of inclement weather, workshop may be rescheduled. Registrants will be contacted if event is cancelled for any reason and a full refund will be issued.
