SAE Byron Bay Campus is opening its doors this January for the SAE Summer Series, a 3-Day program to expand your skills and work on inspiring creative projects in the fields of Animation, Audio, Design, Film or Games.

Across the 3-day workshops, SAE Summer Series attendees will work towards building a creative piece of work to take away for use in a portfolio or showreel. Attendees will receive a certificate of participation to acknowledge the creative work they have undertaken
Due to the tertiary level of the workshop content, this event is open to anyone aged 15yrs and above (Year 10 and over).
Spaces for this event are extremely limited.
All discipline workshops run at the same time as each other each day, therefore only one area of interest workshop can be attended by an individual.
$120 per person *early bird special before 11.59pm, 9th December 2018.$150 per person *from 10th December 2018*cost is total for three days with lunch provided each day.

Learn the skills used in traditional 2D animation, 3D Modelling, character design, game art and visual effects.
Learn the skills used in recording studio production, electronic music production, live sound production, film sound and post production.
Learn the skills used in graphic design for print media, branding, pre-press, typography, digital design, web design and development.
Learn the skills used in pre-production, storytelling, screenwriting, camera operation, directing, producing, editing and post-production.
Learn the skills used in game design, game psychology, analog games, social and mobile game development, programming and project management.
How does the schedule work?
Attendees will arrive before 10am and spend the day in the classroom in their field of choice. Lunch will be provided each day on campus, and at the end of the day students will go back home. What is the main purpose of this event?
This is not an Open Day. Summer Series is a 3-day workshop, where students get the chance to try equipment, and work on real coursework, in order to assist with their career decision making. Attendees spend their days in the classroom, working with lecturers and industry professionals, to experience what student life is like at SAE.
Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?
Yes - this event is open to school students aged 15yrs and above (Year 10 and over).
What are my transport/parking options for getting to the event?

What can / can't I bring to the event?
We recommend bringing along: notebook and pen, a USB with a minimum of 2GB space, water bottle, jumper or warm clothing for air conditioned rooms, any other items that you will need to participate in the classroom for 3-days (e.g. medications, stationery).
