Ayurvedic cooking for balance in Autumn

Dive into the world of food as medicine, through the lens of the ancient living science of Ayurveda. This experience will centre around the qualities of Autumn and how they show up as imbalance in the mind and body throughout the cooler seasons.

We’ll introduce you to the principles of Ayurvedic cooking and eating and explore the spices, ingredients and dishes that can bring you back to centre and give you a foundation for eating like you love yourself throughout the year!

A masterclass in creating simple, tasty dishes and healing elixirs, to keep you warm, grounded and healthy through the autumn season and beyond!

The class will include:

- An overview of the principles of Ayurvedic cooking
- Qualities of Autumn season and the types of imbalances that are likely to show up
- The spices, ingredients and dishes that will help keep you balanced
- Creating simple food options for the season
- Looking more in depth at key spices for the season and how to use them

About Chara

Chara Caruthers is a passionate and outspoken voice for the power of living your truth. An international teacher, speaker, advocate and mentor for women’s wellness, she has inspired and motivated a global community of women of all ages to live juicier and more connected lives by embracing the principles of yoga and Ayurveda.

Chara’s lifelong love of food and fascination with applying it as medicine was the catalyst for her attraction to Ayurvedic cooking. It was also the beginning of an ongoing love affair with the idea for 'eating like you love yourself'.

A long-time practitioner and student of yoga, Chara is a certified Yoga Therapist (C-IAYT) and has taught yoga around the globe for nearly a decade..

She has studied and practiced Ayurveda in the United States, Australia and India and is a graduate of the American Institute of Vedic Studies (USA), the International Academy of Ayurveda (Pune, India), and Kerala Ayurveda Academy (Kerala, India).

Her work is focused on sharing these ancient principles in a modern context empowering wellness seekers of all backgrounds and cultures to boldly embrace the responsibility we all have to know and love ourselves.

Her latest book, Eat Like You Love Yourself is a modern guide to Ayurvedic living and cooking. It was written as reference and love-letter to anyone who is struggling to understand how to nurture and nourish themselves throughout the year and their life, for ultimate balance and bliss.
