Made in Buxton: Cyanotype Print Creation

Watch Becca Smith as she creates the large cyanotype print that will form the base of our collaborative stitched map of Buxton. Watch the process unfold using objects linked to Buxton’s rich heritage — from Roman history to its industrial past.

This activity forms a key part of the 'Made in Buxton' Project, celebrating creative identity, place‑making and the heritage that shapes the town. This event and future events will help build a communal artwork that reflects Buxton’s past, present and future through the creativity of its community.

Artist Becca Smith brings experience from Sew Your Place projects for Leek Textile Week, Kew Gardens, and her current work on the Macclesfield History Tapestry, a collaborative textile artwork inspired by the Bayeux Tapestry.
