Just in time for the 250th anniversary of Jane Austen’s birth and following a dazzling run of sell-out shows and critical acclaim across two Edinburgh Fringe runs and four Soho Theatre residencies, Rosalie Minnitt has announced a new UK tour of her cult comedy hit, Clementine. Partnering with exciting theatre and comedy producers Liebenspiel, the tour will be stopping off at some of the UK’s most vibrant theatre venues.
In this hysterical, deranged and irreverent period drama parody that meditates on girlhood, romance and everything in between, Lady Clementine has until her 27th birthday to find The One. When her latest beau goes missing, she embarks on a hilariously unhinged quest to solve the mystery of her ill fortune. But with neither sense nor sensibility, will our romantic heroine find love in time?
With Emerald Fennell’s take on Wuthering Heights sending the internet into overdrive and Pride & Prejudice and Sense and Sensibility remakes out next year, it’s clear that period drama core is on the rise. Get Charli XCX on the soundtrack and make it comedy?

More than a clever parody of stuffy English ideals; this innovative show talks about the present through the lens of the past. From singledom and soulless dating apps to womanhood, Clementine asks if we have really moved on all that much - are we still obsessed with finding 'The One'?
