Join us anytime Saturday from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm at the Lions Den Picnic Area at Thompson Park. The Forest Service, along with Friends of Thompson Park will host an event to educate folks about winter recreation opportunities at Thompson Park. Friends of Thompson Park, a local nonprofit organization partners with the Forest Service and BSB Parks and Rec to support Thompson Park recreation opportunities. Stop on by Lions Den to visit with FS employees and Friends of Thompson Park members, and try out snowshoeing or a fat bike and learn about the park and recreation opportunities around this location.

Beyond The Backcountry LLC is a small women-led business located in Southwest Montana that contracts out to businesses and non-profits statewide teaching backcountry preparedness, wilderness advocacy and backcountry safety.

The Beaverhead-Deerlodge National Forest is the largest National Forest in Montana, spanning across 3.39 million acres. The B-D provides timber, minerals, and grazing lands. It also offers breath-taking scenery for a wide variety of recreational pursuits. Whether it's wilderness trekking in the Anaconda-Pintler or Lee Metcalf wildernesses, driving the Gravelly Range Road or Pioneer Mountains Scenic Byway, or camping in one of the 50 small to medium-sized campgrounds in the Forest, the Beaverhead-Deerlodge National Forest has it all.
FRIENDS OF THOMPSON PARK
Friends of Thompson Park was established in 2020 and partners with the Forest Service and BSB to maintain trails/recreation sites and assist with outdoor recreation education.
