That spark became the title track of her upcoming album Borned In Ya—a soulful, genre-blending journey through jazz, R&B, classic country, and honky-tonk, out July 19 via Mae Music/Thirty Tigers.
Recorded in Nashville with her trusted collaborators, the album captures Carper’s signature sound: timeless vocals, heartfelt storytelling, and musical nods to Billie Holiday, Hank Williams, and beyond. From gospel grooves to Orbison-style ballads and Sinatra swing, Borned In Ya is her most adventurous album yet—proof that some sounds really are born into you.
