1st and foremost, we want to say thank you to Ted Boltz for not only coming up with this format, but allowing the NEI tournament staff to borrow and use this Format. This will be our third time running this format.

ENTRY FEE: NEI Members: $30/Bowler
Non-Mambers: $40/Bowler

PAYOUT: 1:6
WHERE: Butler Bowl

OIL pattern: HIGH STREET
FORMAT: Bowlers will bowl Two Games of Qualifying for Seeding purposes.
Everyone advances to Match Play!!
Match Play🥊: Top seeds will come up and get to pick thier opponent for match play, then the top seed of that match will draw a Card to determine the pair they will bowl on 🥊🥊
EXAMPLE: Seed #1 comes up and chooses who to bowl in elimination round(s). It can be anyone in the field that hasn't already been chosen.
Then the 2nd seed gets to choose thier opponent, (IF they haven't already been chosen)
This will continue until everyone has an opponent picked. Everyone will bowl a single elimination round. Winners will return thier sheet to the desk for the next round. Each round will go the same way until there are two bowlers left.
WASHOUT ROUND: A wash out round may need to be used to achieve a balanced feild, such as 16, 32, 64 etc. If this is the case then the lower seeds will bowl the 1st round of elimination using the same method as above. The higher of the seeds in this round, being the one that gets to choose thier opponent. If needed, This will be done 1st round of elimination to achieve a perfect bracket.

USBC RULES: All USBC rules will apply to ALL NEI tournament event unless Directly modified by NEI tournaments.
A) Transition between Qualifying and Match Play is still considered in competition and Bowling balls can NOT be resurfaced or cleaned without tournament director’s approval.
