The day covers:
Planning for Growth, Growing Young People & Young Adults, Growing Adult Volunteers and Managing Change.
This is one of three courses aimed at members who hold Manager and Supporter roles in Scouting. (Supporters include volunteers who don’t line manage other volunteers, but who work with and support adults in Scouting). All three courses aim to provide members with the skills needed to carry out their role effectively and support others in doing the same.
Each course helps the learner to build upon knowledge gained from the Independent Learning and to draw on their own life experiences and that of others in their tutor group.
These courses are being run jointly by the Adult Training Teams of GLN and GLNE.
If you have recently been appointed or been in post for a while, already hold a Manager’s Wood Badge, but would like a refresh or are just thinking about taking up a manager appointment, you will be very welcome to register.
These are a series of videos, short e-learning sessions and workbooks that can be done in your own time, covering some 14 elements of the managers’ role. They are available on the ‘Scouts’ website and can be found here.
These independent learning modules are helpful as a refresher to those already in post - so if you are unsure of any of the topics or feel that a refresher would be helpful, please don't hesitate to complete them.
Also check out other Workshops in Bushey.
