May Open Day at The Forties Experience

Join us for our public open day on Sunday 25th May 2025. You do not need to prebook. It's our fifth open day of the year and we're looking forward to welcoming you.

Come and see our 1940s rooms and play with our collection of 1940s toys and games.

Visit our military museum and our Dig for Victory garden.

Pop into the Airman's Club to see our live band "The Mustangs" and pay a visit to South West Herts Model Railway Club to see what they're working on.

Experience a guided tour of a bombed out street scene with our air raid warden and take a ride in our WW2 Jeep.

This month, Swingsters are also kicking off their tea dance season! Join Mike and Mel, and their special guests The Stardust Big Band, in the Dance Hall for a lovely afternoon of social dancing. The tea dance is a separate event with an additional entrance fee of £15pp to be paid at the entrance of the Dance Hall.

Period attire is welcomed, so come along and experience a trip back to the Forties.
