ABOUT:

For the 2020 tour we again have our awesome BBQ and restaurant meals luxury hotel with pool exciting activities and attractions on Geoje and in Tongyeong. The water is still warm enough in October for swimming kayaking snorkeling and chilling on the stunning beaches of Geoje Island.

Covid 19:

We will once again take temperatures before and after the tour. The island and our accommodation offers lots of space to practice social distancing on the tour. All guests are required to wear masks in public places like convenience stores etc.

The modern hotel has beautiful views over the sea pool garden etc and offers amenities like Jacuzzis and double beds in many of the rooms. Groups of 3 or more guests will have their own room or rooms at no extra charge. Early bookers will have the best rooms with double beds and Jacuzzis while we have those rooms available. Early Bird groups of less than 3 people can upgrade from ondol rooms to private rooms with double beds and Jacuzzis at a small fee. All our guests have free access to the private Finnish Saunas. Let us know if you have a big group and we will try and accommodate your departure. We need at least 10 people for an added departure near our routes above or 30 to 45 people for a separate bus from a city far from the routes above.

People meeting us on Geoje:

If you can’t make the time for the Gohyeon Departure you can take City Buses 22 or 23 (KRW 1 300 and they leave every 25 minutes). Fast City Bus No 4 000 is KRW 1 400 and leaves every 2 hours). A taxi is faster and more convenient for 3 or 4 people and cost around KRW 17 000.

* Please note that people from other cities choosing the Geoje Departure should book their return tickets from TONGYEONG in advance if possible. Our bus will not return to Geoje after the tour. If a bus between Tongyeong and your city is unavailable it would be better to book your tour from one of our other departure cities.

Itinerary

AFTER ARRIVAL ON GEOJE ISLAND:

You are here to relax and we made the itinerary as flexible as possible. Plan what you would like to do on which day. Certain activities happen only once while others like ATVs Kayaking Swimming and Hiking are possible on Wednesday Thursday or Friday. All Activities are subject to weather availability etc. Only pay the tour and private room options when you book. All activities can be booked and paid when you get here.

WEDNESDAY SEPTEMBER 30.

12:30 – 13:00 Arrive and Check-in at our luxury hotel at Wahyeon Beach.

From 13:20 Book optional activities.

14:00 – 17:30 Wahyeon Beach Time:

Enjoy some leisure time at the beach of your choice. Swim play some beach volleyball beach soccer and touch rugby (Free). Nature lovers can also hike to Gonggoji Dolphin Point Wahyeon Observatory etc all with amazing views (Free). Kayaking or Paddle Board at Wahyeon Beach (KRW 15 000 PP for 50 minutes – Max 4 People Kayaking and 1 SUP).

14:00 – 14:50 / 15:00 – 15:50 / 16:00 – 16:50 Thrilling Mountain Forest ATVs (KRW 25 000 Per Person). Leave the hotel at least 20 minutes before the ATV starts to allow time for a short walk sign-up and quick training. Please consider all the others who want to do ATVs and stick to the time slot you booked.

17:40 – 19:20 Sunset Cruise (KRW 25 000 for a spectacular 1 hour 30 minutes cruise around famous landmarks including Haegeumgang Oedo Botanical Island Naedo Gonggoji etc). Drinks and music provided free. Highly recommended. You will take the best snapshots of your life and have a great time. Minimum 10 People Per Boat – Maximum 187 People Per Boat. Usually almost everyone on the tour joins the cruise.

19:30 BBQ fires are lit

(Make sure to get a late lunch because the BBQ is a bit late because of the sunset cruise and it takes some time to prepare the meat the right way – A braai is also a social experience).

20:00 – 21:30 Our Signature Steak BBQ (Included). (Halal and Vegetarian Options available).

Steak Creamy Pasta Salad and Mixed Salad. Mouth-watering South African style BBQ (Braai). Wonderful time to socialize. You can grill your own meat or ask someone you trust in your group if you would like the meat grilled to your own taste. If you are satisfied with your meat medium cooked you can leave your meat in the hands of our braai masters.

21:30 - …: Enjoy some music beer pong flip cup etc next to the pool or spend some time on the beach.

THURSDAY OCTOBER 1ST (CHUSEOK)

09:00 – 10:00 Full English Breakfast served in the hotel restaurant.

10:10 – 13:30 Enchanting Geoje Island Bus Tour (Included) & Go Karts (KRW 20 000 PP).

The Tour will feature the top Geoje Island attractions including Hakdong Pebble Beach Sinseondae Windy Hill and Haegeumgang. On the way back you can do optional Go-Karting on an exciting track right next to the sea.

13:40 – 16:30 Spectacular Oedo Botanical Island Tour 2 (KRW 30 000 PP) including Ferry and Island Park Admission).

13:50 Bus leaves for Gujora Beach.

14:00 – 17:20 Gujora Beach Time:

Swim play some beach volleyball beach soccer and touch rugby (Free). Our regular shuttle bus will transport you between our hotel at Wahyeon Beach and Gujora Beach. Gujora Beach has a big unspoilt beach and clear water for snorkeling. There is also an easy hiking trail from the beach to the fortress and bamboo forest.

Please Note: People doing ATVs need to be at the hotel at Wahyeon 20 minutes prior to their ATV booking time to allow time for a short walk sign-up and basic training. There is a shuttle bus from Wahyeon to Gujora at 15:20 for people who want to go Gujora after ATVs and from Gujora to Wahyeon at 15:30 for the16:00 ATVs. There are not many restaurants at Gujora so buy in something in advance take a 15 minute walk to the town in Gujora or take the shuttle bus back to Wahyeon Beach where there are more restaurants etc.

14:00 – 14:50 / 15:00 – 15:50 / 16:00 – 16:50 Thrilling Mountain Forest ATVs (KRW 25 000 Per Person). Leave the hotel at least 20 minutes before the ATV starts to allow time for a short walk sign-up and quick training. 15:20 Shuttle bus departs from the hotel at Wahyeon Beach to Gujora Beach.

15:30 Shuttle bus departs from Gujora Beach to the hotel at Wahyeon Beach for the 16:00 ATV people and people who want to relax at the pool or Wahyeon Beach.

17:30 Final time the bus departs from Gujora to Wahyeon Beach.

19:00 Depart for Jisepo Restaurant.

19:10 – 21:00 Pork BBQ Dinner at a restaurant in Jisepo. After dinner you enjoy the beautiful night lit Jisepo Harbour.

21:10 - …: Enjoy some music beer pong flip cup etc next to the pool or spend some time on the beach

FRIDAY OCTOBER 2ND

09:00 – 10:00 Full English Breakfast served in the hotel restaurant.

11:00 Depart for our third beach - Deokpo Beach.

11:30 – 13:20 Zip-Lining or Kayaking at Deokpo Beach. People can also just hang out on Deokpo beach if you choose.

13:30 Depart for Okpo.

13:40 We will stop in Okpo for people who want to grab a Burger King or Lotteria lunch. Other can explore Okpo for 30 minutes.

14:10 Depart Okpo for Wahyeon Beach hotel.

14:30 – 18:00 Boat Fishing (Bottoms KRW 60 000 PP) (Spanish Mackerel KRW 90 000) – Minimum 4 People. It’s Spanish Mackerel Season so a great opportunity to catch these fighters. Sashimi will be served on the boat and you are welcome to keep your catch for the BBQ. All tackle bait or lures provided.

14:30 – 17:30 Wahyeon Beach Time ATVs or Pool time. Also a good time for ATVs hiking etc.

18:30 BBQ fires are lit

SATURDAY OCTOBER 3RD:

09:00 – 09:30 Check Out. Please make sure you put all your belongings on the bus.

09:30 Bus departs for Tongyeong

(Bus will not return to Geoje so everyone needs to be on board unless you arranged your own transport back from Geoje. For people who chose the meeting us on Geoje option we recommend you book your trip back from Tongyeong if possible. This will give you a chance to enjoy breakfast the Luge and we can drop you off at Tongyeong Bus Terminal).

10:10 – 11:00 English Breakfast at a restaurant with a gorgeous view of the harbour in Tongyeong.

11:10 Bus departs for the exciting Luge.

11:30 – 13:00 Exhilarating Luge Ride (KRW 18 000 – 1 Ride / KRW 21 000 – 2 Rides). There are many food stalls for a small snack.

13:10 Bus leaves for the Turtle Ship Park.

13:20 – 14:00 Explore and last photo opportunity (Small once off fee of KRW 3 000 if you want to go inside all the different turtle ships).

14:10 Depart for original departure cities. A fantastic tour draws to a close.
