Wednesday 7pm - 9pm."Enrol by 5th April 2026 and save 5% on your course fee — no code needed!""This course offers a well-balanced mix of hands-on camera work and essential photography theory — ideal for anyone looking to build confidence and deepen their skills behind the lens."You will learn the basic elements of photography, such as the relationship between ISO, aperture and shutter speeds (how much light is allowed to enter the camera to create the picture). This will help you to understand which setting to use on your camera. It will also give you the ability to know how your photo will turn out rather than hoping for the best!You will cover topics such as:Manual settingsDifferent lenses and how they change your photoComposition of a photograph and focusingStudio lighting and how to use it to create different effectsFinding out about composition - what makes a good photograph?How to take shots of people, landscapes, close-ups, abstract & artisticYou will look at how to get the best out of your camera and the technical side, to find out what all the buttons on your camera actually do.Throughout the course there will be assignments to produce photos and the last week is all about showcasing your work. We then become judges and appraise fellow students work…in a nice way.What will I need:You will need to bring a camera - compact, bridge, DSLR or Mirrorless. Your camera must have manual exposure settings (where you can control the shutter speed, aperture etc) to get the most out of the course.Students are asked to bring 6 photos to the first lesson, 3 they are pleased with and 3 they are not so pleased with, these can be a physical photography or one stored on an electronic device.A notebook and pen to take notes.Important Information:All our courses run based on a minimum number of participants.If you are no longer able to attend, please contact us at your earliest convenience. Cancellations received within 2 days of the course start date are non-refundable.Missed sessions by individual students are non-refundable.When purchasing more than one ticket—whether for yourself or on behalf of others—you must provide the correct individual information for each attendee.
