However, they can also be seen as representing an integration and application of an exhilarating plethora of ideas with roots in many other fields. One such area, which has not been sufficiently appreciated, is the potential links between monastic and therapeutic communities. In this talk, Dan will trace some of these interrelations, with mutual benefits in both directions. Bio  Dr Dan Neale, a Counselling Lecturer at the University and Professional Development Centre is a Group Analyst who spent many years working in Therapeutic Communities. He is especially interested in applications of group analysis and TCs to other fields, and vice versa.
