Yes, it’s a little last minute - but after such a great time at our first meetup, we’re doing it again!

Hobby Zen Life is hosting a relaxed Father’s Day RC gathering at McIlwaine Park on Saturday, 5 September.

This one is all about bringing dads, parents, kids and RC enthusiasts together for a wholesome day of RC cars, food, fun and shitty dad jokes.

We’ll have a casual grass RC track, lap timer and small jumps, along with some fun, kid-and-parent-friendly RC games and activities to get dads,kids & mums involved.

🌭 FOOD & DRINKS

We’ll have a sausage-sizzle BBQ and some snacks available. If you would like to have a feed, you’re welcome to chip in whatever you feel is fair to help cover the food & Drink.

You’re also welcome to bring your own food and drinks.

🚗 WHAT TO BRING

• Your electric RC car(s), transmitter & charged batteries
• Extra batteries, as there is no power available
• Picnic rug
• Sun protection and water
• Any extra food or drinks you would like
• Wholesome, family-friendly vibes

Bring your favourite electric RC cars that can handle driving on grass. Tamiya cars are especially welcome, but also happy for people to bring along any other suitable RC cars too.

⚠️ IMPORTANT INFORMATION

• Electric RC cars only—no nitro cars
• Children must be supervised by a parent or responsible adult
• Please drive safely around spectators, children and other park users
• Please respect the park and take all rubbish with you
• The meetup is weather dependent
• Any updates will be posted on the Facebook event page
• Street parking is available nearby, subject to local parking signs and availability

Public toilets, cafés and restaurants are also located nearby.

Please select “Going” if you plan to attend and share the event with any dads, families or RC lovers who might enjoy it.
