We’ll be recognising and celebrating the progress we’ve made over the last half century, our partnerships, colleagues, supporters, the survivors we've kept safe from harm, the strength and courage of the survivors we've supported, and those we will support in the years ahead.Expect a warm welcome, some celebratory words, and a key-note speech by Rachel Horman-Brown, Honorary Kings Counsel. Rachel is an award-winning Director of Family Law at Watson Ramsbottom Solicitors and an engaging speaker with specialist domestic abuse expertise. A Safenet Board member for many years, Rachel continues to support us as part of Safenet Women's Advisory Group (SWAG). She is a legislative pioneer who played an instrumental role in campaigning to create a criminal offence for coercive control and doubling sentences for stalking.We will also have a show-case of 'Marketplace Stalls' before lunch, with Safenet specialist teams on hand to show how we support survivors in services - expect activities, information, survivor voice and 1:1 / small group chats with colleagues leading and delivering frontline domestic abuse services and support.
