Take home your silver creations.About this EventJoin me for a beginners silver clay jewellery workshop at my studio on the edge of the Yorkshire Wolds.During your course, you will learn how to work with silver clay and nature to create pieces of jewellery using textures from foraged real leaves, plants and flowers.We will start by exploring the wildflower meadow to select plants and leaves or you can bring materials with you (guidance will be given). There will be a wide selection of nature-inspired texture mats rollers to use if you don't feel confident using real plants.During the course you will learn:About silver clay and how to use and store itWhat natural materials you can create textures withHow to roll the clay to get an even finish How to imprint your textureHow to cut the shape and cut the clay for your chosen designHow to dry and refine your jewellery ready for firingHow to fire your jewellery piecesHow to finish your silver jewellery including drilling and attaching findingsWhat's included in the price:10g of silver clay - how many pieces you can make depends upon the size and thickness of your chosen designs but you should make at least one larger or two smaller pendants or a pair of earringsA silver chain or pair of silver ear wiresTea, coffee and biscuits during the courseUse of all the tools you need to finish your pendantBeautiful jewellery made by youWorksheets to take home with you to replicate your pieces at homeA tour of the wildlife gardenPlenty of fun, inspiration and chats about nature and wildlifeWe will kiln fire the pieces here at the studio but I will also demonstrate torch/hob firing so you can replicate the process at home.Extra silver clay will also be available to purchase at £15 for 5g on the day if you want to create more pieces or larger pieces. I will also have a range of silver jewellery findings and gemstones. I just charge cost price for the silver, findings and gems - no mark up.Please note that we won't be making moulds from nature during this course - we will be using nature to imprint texture onto silver clay. I run a separate course focused on making moulds from nature.This course requires a minimum of 3 people to go ahead.
