Slow Balboa Weekend - SAVE THE DATE!

Save the date for Slow Balboa Weekend 2026 with Lizou and Cara!

This year’s event will have 2 track levels, 2 days of classes, and 3 nights of social dancing, including a live band on Saturday night!

Registration will open in the new year and capacity is limited. Keep an eye on this page for updates so you don’t miss out.

Slow Bal, or Slow Balboa, is a close embrace swing dance from the 1940s. You dance it to the slow jazz music of that time. It is a playful and elegant dance, influenced by historic dancers Dean and Nancy Raftery and Ray Cunningham.
