- **Event Description**: Kathara Society will be again joining our partners Pinoy Pride along with Hawak at the annual Pinoy Festival at Swangard Stadium on the Unceded Coast Salish Territories. We hope to meet with other diaspora who share our passion for reconnecting with our Indigenous identity and practices through art, culture and community. 

Join our open discussions where we will field for topics of interest that relate to Indigenous Pilipino Arts and Culture and ways we can be in solidarity with IP in the archipelago as well as be accountable settlers on Turtle Island. We seek to build membership with new energy joining with  the history of what has been  done collectively for almost 25 years. Members of the Board and Artists will be present and engaged in activities throughout Saturday in connection with Hawak Filipino Martial Arts. 

Kathara Society was birthed in the month of June and thus with the summer solstice we renew with the help of those who share its aims, the continuation of our intention to guide us in these uncertain times. 

Please join us in making a summer solstice offering at our dambana/shrine in gratitude to the land, the summer harvests, the spirits of the forest nearby.
