Info: Melissa Enoch, a 31 year substance use and mental health disorder professional has developed a technique that is derived from the therapeutic intervention known as Narrative Therapy.

Narrative Therapy is where individuals engage in dialogues that allow them to delve into their narratives and challenge ones that contribute to their struggles. This collaborative process allows individuals to gain an understanding of their values and skills and make a way for change.

However, many fail to open up in therapy, so Melissa proposes using personal stories, music and movies to help introduce personal story-telling that will serve two goals. One goal it will allow individuals to develop their voice through written and verbal dialogue in a non threatening

format and the second goal, they will be presented with information, ideas and resources to leave the personal workshop with a better understanding and knowledge of community resources

available for them.
