Oh, they are just so good! This is pretty much pure bluegrass, played and sung with charm and panache and incredibly quick fingers and skill. All the elements are there: one microphone, great harmony, high energy, virtuosic musicianship – all in the service of the wild ride that is bluegrass music. Rooted in tradition, fearlessly creative and possessing a bold, dynamic sound, The Slocans have become a leading light of today’s acoustic music scene both in their native Canada and abroad. They have an uncanny ability to convert anyone within earshot into a lifelong fan. The Slocans have been winning over audiences from the Grand Ole Opry to Merlefest to RockyGrass and Folk Alliance, where they picked up bookings galore (including ours).
