By integrating agricultural activities and ecological restoration throughout the year, we take a holistic view of land stewardship and find our place as humans in the ecology of Rock Point. In each session, we will spend part of our time learning about a topic and part of the time working on a project together.Rock Point's scenic trails are increasingly popular and take visitors along the top of limestone bluffs that are home to many rare and uncommon plants. In this session, we will learn about this unique ecology and practice some simple techniques you can employ to help take care of the trails and these plants at the same time. Bring water, snacks, and clothing that can get dirty!We will meet in the Rock Point Center parking lot at 20 Rock Point Road. You can drive past the sign that says "No unauthorized vehicles." Continue over the bridge, to the right, and all the way back to the gravel parking lot.
