About the event

Sursy Open Mic featuring Tim Smith & Eileen Regan
Please join us for our sixth Sursy Open Mic, featuring Tim Smith and Eileen Regan!

Just in time for an early St. Patrick's Day! Tim Smith and Eileen Regan have been playing Irish music together for or over 40 years. Tim plays piano, tin whistle, Irish flute and English concertina and Eileen plays fiddle, guitar and Celtic harp. She has been leading an Irish tune jam for High Strung Music in Durham for a number of years. Tim and Eileen play in a band called Big Celtic Fun, which has performed often at festivals and contra dances. Tim might even sneak in a Celtic-inspired original.

Signups begin at 6:30pm. We welcome singer-songwriters, poets, spoken word, or whatever else you would like to do (no bands, please). All ages welcome. We encourage listeners! There is a nice bar for beer, wine, great mocktails and other beverages. Thanks to our hosts and Sursy owners Stephanie and Chuck Braxton for having us!
