The holiday season is fast approaching, and BCAT is preparing for a special visitor next month. Santa Claus and his Number One Elf will be making a visit to the BCAT Studio the evening of Friday December 5th*, from 6-7:30 pm.
Children are welcome to come and share their Christmas wishes with Santa live on BCAT television. Free refreshments will be provided, and parents are welcome to bring their cameras.
Santa’s annual visit to BCAT has been a treasured part of the Burlington community as far back as when the studio first opened its doors in 1988, where Santa sat down for an interview with Phil Gallagher and answered calls from excited boys and girls.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, BCAT and The North Pole decided it best to forgo Santa’s visit for everyone’s safety, but last year Old Kris Kringle made time in his busy schedule to return to BCAT. The tradition continues this year.
Every child that comes to see Santa will receive a free surprise gift (While supplies last). Parents are welcome to bring your cameras for a clear shot from our photo station in order to capture your children’s portrait with Santa on our festive holiday set.
Families at home won’t miss out on the fun. Santa’s visit to BCAT will be broadcasted live on our Public Channel and Youtube Page, featuring highlights of BCAT’s holiday programming. Mark your calendars now, so as not to miss out on this Burlington holiday tradition.
*Burlington Parks & Recreation’s Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony is set for Tuesday December 2nd, with a rain date of December 5th. In the event of inclement weather, Santa will have to cancel his visit to BCAT so he can help light up The Town Common for the holidays*
