With double the usual class time, we'll move at a comfortable pace that allows for more individual feedback, extended practice, and plenty of time to ask questions. We'll explore essential 8-count rhythms (and how to flow between 6, 8, 10, 12, and more) while focusing on fine-tuning one of Lindy Hop’s core moves: the swing out. You'll get the chance to break it down, clean it up, and really understand how it works. This class is perfect for dancers who are: Ready to transition from Beginning Swing into 8-count Lindy Hop, or, looking to strengthen their fundamentals, or eager to build a solid and versatile Lindy Hop foundation. Come get more confident with your footwork, rhythm, and connection in a supportive and encouraging environment!
This is a series class. Please plan to start June 3rd and come the whole month! No partner necessary.
