Every Fiscal Court meeting begins with a prayer for wisdom and a Pledge of Allegiance for "Justice for All." But a few miles away, at the Boone County Detention Center, a different reality is unfolding—one built on a profit model of indefinite detention.

We are showing up this Tuesday to challenge the irony of a Court that pledges allegiance to liberty while serving as the landlord for a federal "limbo."

THE FACTS WE ARE BRINGING TO THE LIGHT:

The Impossible Choice: Many people being detained by ICE in our facility have committed no crime at all. They sit uncharged, forced to choose between abandoning their families forever or staying imprisoned indefinitely to pad the county's bottom line.

The Profit Machine: While we talk about "service," the county is collecting $105 a day per person—turning the absence of justice into a multimillion-dollar revenue stream.

The Statewide Spotlight: With the Lexington Herald-Leader now exposing these "Zero-Charge" statistics, the eyes of all Kentucky are on Boone County. We aren't just a group of neighbors anymore; we are the vanguard of a statewide demand for accountability.

OUR GOAL:
We are demanding the Zero-Charge Census. No more "accountant-speak." No more hiding behind federal contracts. If we are going to say "Justice for All" in the courtroom, we need to prove we mean it in the jail.
