No better time to share in stories and comradory for a great cause then in a month that celebrates love on the February 14th and kindness on the 17th!
Corked will be hosting a Heartfelt night on February 27th to raise money for our local Children's Miracle Network- Stead Family at the University of Iowa Hospitals.
We will be working with Saint Ambrose University Dance Marathon and the Children's Miracle Network Hospitals to raise awareness and funds for the hospital.
Every minute of every single day a child is admitted to a Children's Miracle Network Hospital. From anything from a premature baby, diabetes, heart defects ,cancer and everything in between.
Dance Marathon is a philanthropic group of college age students, who along with their studies commit to raising awareness and funds for children that need the hospital. Dance Marathon has allocated funds for the children's playground, neonatal department, Club Foot Research, gas cards, meal cards and so much. They work alongside Children's Miracle Network Hospitals to raise funds!
We will have guest speakers who speak on behalf of their Miracle kids and experience at Stead Family Children’s Hospital. We will also have some speakers and comedians who will give more of a fun aspect to the night.
On the itinerary so far we have Kerri Neil, who has done work for Code Red and Shhhhe's Speaking. Cindy Bowen will be joining us reading a beautiful and fun work on growing up in the spectrum. Moms -
Erin Roberts and Anna Ertz will give their son’s stories and knowledge of just how important Stead Family Hospital is. Anna Ertz will also be sharing in comedy because she has learned that comedy is truly an ally that can coincide with greif.
The list of entertainment and speakers will be growing!! Reservations highly recommended!! This is a Free Will donation night for tickets, we will have a wine pull, 50/50, and Silent Auction!! Spread the word and please join us for this heartfelt night!!
