✨ Theme: Learning to Fly
Wings, birds, pilots, sky vibes, superheroes, astronauts, or anything that says lift-off. Go literal, go abstract, or skip entirely.
💃 Workshop: Lifts and Dips with Lucas-Michael Jones (By special request!)
In this workshop we’ll focus on how to incorporate lifts and dips in partner dance in a way that’s safe, comfortable, and looks great. We’ll cover clear communication and consent, smart body mechanics, stable connection, and options for different experience levels. Expect practical technique you can use right away, plus variations to match your style.
⭐ Special Techniques Opportunity: If you want more time with these skills, there will be a special extended workshop on the afternoon of Saturday the 7th at the Performing Arts Hub in Montpelier. We’ll post a separate event with the link soon, for anyone who wants an even deeper dive (or dip) into these techniques.
🎶 Social Dance: After the workshop, enjoy a night of fusion social dancing with a versatile playlist featuring West Coast Swing, Blues, Tango, Waltz, and more.
⚕️ Health and Safety: Please join us only if you're feeling well. Masks are optional, and we respect everyone’s personal choice. No vaccination proof required.
👟 Footwear Reminder: Bring clean, soft-soled, non-marking shoes to keep the floor and your moves in top form.
