Chris Von Staats Jazz Band - A Charlie Brown Christmas

The Chris von Staats Jazz Band is excited to present their yearly tribute to Vince Guaraldi’s “A Charlie Brown Christmas”! This two-hour variety concert is jam-packed with two sets of jazz and genre-spanning holiday music. The first set is a complete performance of the beloved A Charlie Brown Christmas soundtrack. The second set sees the band take on holiday classics, often reinterpreting them for enjoyment by even the most reluctant holiday music listener.

The band is fronted by Chris von Staats (Guitar/Vocals) and Jack Hanson (Keyboards) – two friends who met in the jazz program at The University of Vermont in 2013. They have performed together in various bands around New England during and since their time at UVM. Chris and Jack began the Charlie Brown Christmas concert in 2016 and immediately knew it would become a yearly tradition. This year they are joined by Alex Hall on Bass and Zach Santos on drums.
