The topics covered include:Fundamentals of using a sewing machineHow to use a patternWhat's seam allowanceRight side vs. Wrong side of fabricOverstitch and reverse stitchChoose from a selection of fun fabric prints or bring your own. If you decide to bring your own fabric, please plan for 1.5yards of non-stretchy fabric. Cotton, canvas or flannel should all work well. Avoid anything extra thick or synthetic such as vinyl or faux leather. These will not work with our sewing machines and are also difficult to work with for beginners.Your workshop comes with a complimentary Sewing Help workshop. This is a session that's perfect if you need more time to finish or ask clarifying questions. Simply look for an upcoming Help session and let us know (hello@craft-loft.com) which session you'd like to attend at least 48 hours before the session starts.
