There is so much to create when you recycle and make handmade paper. No longer making just a basic piece of paper, but learning to create a host of projects and ideas. Susan from Born In Paper will guide us through this beautiful workshop where you will work with a range of natural products.

At this workshop, you will make handmade paper from scratch. We will use recycled papers, add  dried and fresh flowers, raw cotton from local NSW cotton fields and colours to make beautiful unique stationery.

Learn how to prepare your pulp, pull sheets of paper, add seeds for plantable gift tags, emboss your paper and learn a range of ideas to add sizing for perfect papers for calligraphy and artwork.

The handmade paper light you will make, is using premade translucent paper, that you wrap and seal around glass, wax seal and add the lights. Susan will then show us how to make our own translucent paper for lights and decorations and see how we can make a unique and personal decoration for your home or to gift to someone special. We will also be given a template to make our little handmade paper houses that we can fill with tea lights and wow our friends and family.

This workshop gives you all the skills to create so many handmade paper projects, a workshop that no one wants to end.

Born In Paper run regular workshops in and around Byron Bay and interstate. Founder, Susan, loves to travel, bringing the joy of paper making with regular workshops in towns and cities along the East Coast of Australia. We are so lucky to have Susan for this workshop creating beautiful pieces.
