We'll explore the woods, learn about local plants and fungi from our guides, and forage for inspirationBedelands is the largest green space in Burgess Hill. In spring, these ancient woodlands are brimming with wildflowers, and in winter, they're bursting with mushrooms. January is a transitionary period just as abundant in plant and fungi.The walk will lead directly into a poetry and wreath-making workshop we are holding later that day. We really encourage all those who attend to secure a spot at the workshop too!Date: Saturday 24th DecemberTime: 10:00 AM - 12:00 PMMeeting Point: Leylands Park Car Park, next to Burgess Hill Football ClubWho can come: All ages are welcome ! Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult.As the event is free, and we can only support limited number, we ask that you are certain you can commit to the event, and that you provide us with some details so that we can contact you a couple days before the event.What’s entailed?Explore the plants, fungi, and ecology of Bedelands.Hear from our guides and enjoy some readings.Connect with others and our local natural spaces.Who are we?Flowersmith: Forging Wild Futures is a project being supported by Grow Wild, Southern Rail, and Arts on the Line, as part of the Grow Wild on the Rails initiative.
