Tired of the guesswork and conflicting advice on which bit to use for your horse? Go beyond the "hard" or "soft" mouths and truly understand how your bit works.
The bit or bitless bridle is not just a piece of metal and leather, it is a communication tool. Its function is defined by the interaction with the complex and sensitive anatomy of the horse's mouth. When we understand our tools we are more likely to understand this interaction allowing us to choose and use bits and bridles with greater skill, empathy and effectiveness.
This seminar delves into the anatomy and biomechanics of the equine mouth, revealing how different bits apply specific pressures to influence your horse.
Learn how to make informed, ethical choices for a happier and more responsible partner. This seminar is for rider and owners who wish to replace force with knowledge and confusion with clarity.

The Mechanics of Pressure: We will break down the seven key pressure: poll, nasal bone, chin, tongue, palate, bar and lip.
Bit Families Decoded: We will categorize bits not by severity but by the biomechanics action.
- Snaffles - direct pressure and the impact of mouthpiece shape
- Leverage Bits - various curb bits and how curb chains and shanks create a ratio of pressure and importance of timing and fit.
