South Plaquemine YMCA Tailgate Cook-Off

Join us October 18th for our 3rd Annual Tailgate Cook-Off at the Empire Safe Harbor, 33373 Highway 23, Buras, LA 70041. This event is FREE to the public!

We will have live music by High Tide and R & R Smokin’ Foundation Band.

Business, family, and friend teams welcome! If you think you make the best tailgating food around, then we challenge you to come on out and show it off!

Teams can choose from 4 cook-off categories

Meat - Poultry - Seafood - Wild Game

$80 - 1st category entry fee

$50 - each additional category

If you’re looking for some friendly competition, a cornhole tournament will begin at 12:30pm.

adult division: age 13 and older - $50 per team

child division: age 12 and under - $20 per team

All proceeds will benefit the South Plaquemines YMCA
