Learn about different citrus varieties, best practices for maintenance, and tips for a fruitful harvest. Don't miss this opportunity to discover the joys of gardening with citrus!Ticket Options:Just Ticket with no plant - $15, there will be an opportunity to  purchase citrus tree at the end of workshop. Ticket with Citrus Tree - $65Citrus Tree Options:Sweet Orange(OLL 4) -  Sweet orange. Matures at 12-14 feet. Seeds Per Fruit: Few.Gator Bites - Produces ‘clementine’ sized, easy peel, nearly seedless tangerine-type fruit with a very rich, sweet and pleasant flavor. Fruit matures early December and holds well through January. Fruit color is a bright orange. Fruit can be picked without clipping. It has a high sugar content and sweet rich flavor making it a great option for kids.UF-1859 Sweet Orange -  A sweet orange hybrid selected as highly tolerant following more than 20 years of Huanglongbing (HLB) exposure. Fruit of 1859 mature beginning in mid-November and hold well on the tree until late January. The internal and external color becomes a deep orange color. Great for juicing or just cut up and eat.Lemon Beatriz - It is a Eureka-type lemon that produces more peel oil than other Eurekas. Great for home gardeners. This variety is also showing good HLB tolerance.SugarBelle - The color and flavor of the fruit is a good balance of intense sweetness and typical citrus tartness. Trees are very vigorous growing and after a couple years of establishment are showing good cold hardiness into the upper 20’s as well as great tolerance of HLB (citrus greening). Great fruit for juicing or eating, just have to work around the seeds.UF Redlime - Australian Finger Lime Hybrid. Tree is upright in growth pattern and very scraggly. LOTS OF THORNS! Young flush is always red. Fruit is dark red at maturity with a high amount of anthocyanins. Caviar like fruit vesicles. Preliminary data indicates HLB resistance in the field.Tango Mandarin - The Tango is a low-seeded mandarin that has excellent internal color and good flavor. Fruit will mature in December, but have better color is held on tree into January. Trees perform better than average with HLB. US SunDragon - The fruit is large (about the size of a navel orange), is peelable, and has some seed (five to 10 per fruit). The highly pebbled peel is orange. The flesh is light orange with a slightly crisp texture. It is relatively low in acidity, and the flavor is like a mild orange with a distinctive zesty note.SugarBelle Dwarf - The color and flavor of the fruit is a good balance of intense sweetness and typical citrus tartness. Trees are very vigorous growing and after a couple years of establishment are showing good cold hardiness into the upper 20’s as well as great tolerance of HLB (citrus greening).
