Back pain is a widespread concern with 1 in 6 Australians being impacted at any one time and most adults experiencing back pain at some point in their lives.
It is one of the leading causes of lost productivity, reduced mobility and visit to health professionals. Contributing factors include sedentary lifestyles, prolonged sitting and work related strain and/or stress.
Dru Yoga's back care program offers a gentle, evidenced based approach to address well being issues centred around back pain.
Over this series of classes you will gain insights to the latest research and practical application of these techniques. Be introduced to new approaches to breathing and relaxation techniques. Learn more about the functions of the vagus nerve, myofascial release and the psoas muscle.
Learn practices to help support your back and overall well being including:
- myofasical stretching
- gradual muscle strengthening
- healthy breathing
- relaxation techniques
I am looking for 10-12 participants to commit to a 6-8 week practice as I am completing continuing professional development and need to complete case studies.
Cost:
Discounted cost of $15 per class if book and pay for the whole 6-8 week series (final length of series T.B.C. closer to the date).
$22 per class casual attendance
