This two hour workshop is designed to help you build core strength and stability through yoga, with a special focus on the use of bandhas (energetic locks: Mula, Uddiyana, and Jalandhara Bandha). The session combines theory, practical yoga flows, breathwork, and mindfulness.
Key Elements:
• Introduction & Theory: Explains core anatomy and introduces the bandhas, highlighting their role in both physical and energetic stability.
• Breathwork: Teaches diaphragmatic and Ujjayi breathing, guiding participants to gently activate the bandhas.
• Yoga Practice: Includes warm-up (cat-cow, bird-dog, gentle planks), strengthening flows (sun salutations, boat pose, planks, bridge, locust), and balancing postures, all with cues for bandha engagement.
• Alignment & Mindfulness: Offers tips for safe, effective practice and encourages mindful awareness of core and energetic engagement.
• Cool Down & Relaxation: Ends with gentle stretches and a guided Savasana to integrate the work.
• Take-Home Routine: Provides a short sequence for ongoing home practice, reinforcing the workshop’s techniques.
Props like mats, blocks, straps, and blankets are able to be used. The workshop is inclusive, with modifications for all levels, and encourages gradual, mindful development of core strength and bandha awareness. 😊🤍
