Professor Voth will seek to persuade you that Mark is not only the most creatively detailed, intentionally composed, and foundational of the four Gospels, but that it’s the most influential and impactful book ever written.

Trent Voth is Associate Professor of Bible and Religion at Bethel College. He received his PhD in Theology focusing on New Testament Studies at the University of Toronto. He has also studied and pastored in Fresno, California and Hillsboro, Kansas. Trent’s research interests include the Gospel of Mark, Anabaptist political theologies, Non-violence and peace, and reconciliation with Indigenous communities. He and his wife, Stephanie, have two young sons and are members at Shalom Mennonite Church in Newton, KS.
